▶ Rolex Datejust 36, Pink Floral, Fluted White Gold Bezel, Steel Jubilee, Rolesor, REVIEW – 116234

This is Kevin from
JazTime.com, and today, we’ll be reviewing the Rolex Datejust 36, reference number one, one,
six, two, three, four. We’ll be going over the
pricing, the dial, bezel, case, crown, bracelet, clasp, and we’ll talk about the
movement towards the end of the video. So, as of August 2017,
you can get this Datejust from a authorized Rolex
retailer for $7,950, or you can come to JazTime.com and get it for as low as $6,600. OK? Moving on to the dial, as you can see, a very unique style of dial. This is a floral-pattern
dial that’s only specific for the Datejust. It’s a very simple dial, it just has a basic floral
patterning in the background with the Arabic six and nine. The Rolex crown at the
twelve o’ clock position, and a date window at the
three o’ clock position with a cyclops lens on top for
easier viewing of that date. As you can see, that protrusion there. The Arabic numerals and the
hands are all fashioned out of 18 karat white gold. So, no glow-in-the-dark or
luminosity on this Datejust. Specifically, for the dial configurations, the Datejust is known for
numerous configurations. So, you’re not stuck
on this floral pattern. However, if you do like
the floral pattern, it does come in a pink, brown, and silver. If you’re looking for Roman hour markers, then you’re looking at a
black, silver, or white dial, whereas index hour markers, you’re looking at a black,
blue, silver, white, or pink. For Arabic numerals,
you can expect to see it in a black, or a silver, or in blue. That silver and blue is
a very, very unique style for that one. If you’re feeling a little more luxurious, about $2,000 more luxurious
in retail pricing, then for a diamond dial,
meaning diamond numerals, you’re looking at a
silver, blue, or black, whereas if you’re feeling
even more luxurious than that, then we have mother of pearl
dial with diamond hour markers, and that only comes in a white, dark, or pink mother of pearl. OK? Moving on to the bezel, now. The bezel is a nice, fixed, fluted 18 karat white gold bezel. As you can see, as I tilt
it towards the light, you can see it shine in numerous spots. Very beautiful. Moving on to the case, the
case is a 36 millimeter case. So, from my index finger to my thumb here, that’s 36 millimeters in diameter. It has a high polish on the
sides of the case, also, when showing you the side profile, you can see that high polish on the sides of the case, again, with the patterning very nicely with the sides of the bracelet. Also, the profile of the
watch isn’t too high. So, it won’t stretch out any dress cuffs. So, it will fit nicely under them. The Rolex logo is on the crown itself, and the crown is just a very
simple screw-down to unlock, double water-proof in this system. It has very simple functions. If you just go ahead and
unscrew it counter-clockwise, you will be set in the first position in which you can wind the
watch 20 to 30 times, no more, as you might put too much
tension on the movement, and you might damage it. A simple tug of the crown, oops. A simple tug of the crown will allow you to change
the date instantaneously, as shown, going clockwise, and a final tug of that crown will let you adjust the
hands bi-directionally and set it to a time that you’d like. Speaking for the seconds hand, however, the seconds hand, already had movement, will stop once the crown is pulled out to this final position, and that allows for precise time settings, such as to an atomic clock
online down to the exact second or even your iPhone if
you want to set it down to the exact seconds. Once you press the crown back in, that will start the
seconds hand, once more, and make sure you screw the crown nice and tight against the case, as it keeps the watch water-resistant for 100 meters or 330 feet. OK? Moving on to the bracelet, now. We have a Jubilee style bracelet, which is a five-piece link bracelet made out of 904L steel. The outer piece of the five
links is brushed steel, or sand-finished steel, while the center three piece
links are high-polished, and it keeps that patterning throughout the bracelet very nicely, and it keeps that pattern because the clasp is actually located here at the Rolex crown, and it pops out to reveal
its concealed, folding clasp. OK? So, we have the high-polished blades with the Rolex name embossed
onto those clasp blades. Once again, there ya
go, concealed once more. You can see that clasp
hidden behind that bracelet, and so, it keeps that nice
patterning throughout. OK? All right, so moving on
to the movement, now. The movement is housed in this very simple Oyster case backing. That is Rolex’s professional, mechanical, self-winding movement caliber 3135, which is a tried and tested movement. It’s been over 10 years that
Rolex has been producing the 3135 movement. So, you know that it’s a trust-worthy, very high-quality movement, as they’re still using it 10 years later. It has a precision of minus
two plus two seconds a day. It has functions of the center
hour, minutes, seconds hand with instantaneous changing of the date, with rapid setting and
stopping of the seconds hand, as I have shown you, for
precise time setting. The power reserve of this watch, you’re looking at approximately 48 hours, meaning you can put this
down on a Friday evening, pick it back up on a Sunday evening, and it should be keeping time just fine. OK? So, I’m actually going to go ahead and show you this watch on my wrist. Once again, just pull that crown back. Snaps right in very easily, and there we are. OK? Something to keep in mind, I do have an average man-sized wrist, so a seven-inch wrist. There’s still a little bit of room. So, you’re looking at a bracelet size of seven and a half inches. Very beautiful, unique,
floral-pattern dial. OK? So, if you’re interested in
